Let’s learn some useful & fun woodworking skills!
During this special full-day experience, we’ll learn basic woodworking techniques with some fun projects.
We start with the basics (which way do you turn a screwdriver to tighten a screw anyway?) and work our way up to using light power tools. The focus of this workshop is building the confidence and skills needed to use tools safely.
Projects are chosen to accommodate age-appropriate tool use and skills training. Beginners are trained to use basic hand tools and light power tools (like palm sanders and screw guns) while more experienced students may also be trained on how to responsibly use more advanced tools like a drill press and miter saws.
We provide all the tools, materials, and instruction — campers just need to bring their can-do spirit and holiday creativity!
This is a fun, hands-on (read : messy!) camp that uses tools and paints, so please be sure your camper is dressed appropriately -- Closed-toed shoes and grubby clothes are a must for this camp experience!
