Let’s find out how stuff works — by taking it all apart!
Ever wondered how a computer works? Or how a vacuum runs? Or what makes electronics do all that stuff??
Us too! That is why we LOVE to take things apart and see the “guts” of everyday contraptions and machines. We feel that there is no better way to find out how the everyday objects in our lives work than by taking a peek under the hood. The stuff we take apart might not go back together (ok, they NEVER go back together!), but we sure learn a lot during the process!
Even though we’re taking things apart — there’s no smashing in this workshop! We demonstrate and practice safe tool use, paying special attention to how things are constructed so we can apply that learning to future projects.
After we take some stuff apart . . . let’s put it back together and make something weird! We might even break out the LEGOs to see if we can build something that uses a mechanism we saw when we took stuff apart.
So come take some cool electronics and gizmos apart and get some of those questions answered. This workshop is always a TON of fun!
