Pulleys, screws, wheels, axles, levers, inclined planes and wedges. These are some of the simple machines we see around us every day. BUT… what happens when we put them together to create a delightfully convoluted chain reaction to perform one simple task? It becomes a Rube Goldberg machine!

Study some of Rube’s crazy comics, then experiment with energy and contraptions to engineer your own crazy solution to a common task. Each week, learn about a new and different simple machine and how it can be used in a fun and artistic way.

We provide all the materials, gadgets, and gizmos to let your imagination run wild!
