Learning STEM with play, exploration & hands-on making!

STEM Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) is where science and making collide! Every week we’ll look at a different physical science concept and explore fun projects and creations that take advantage of it.

We feel strongly that students learn best when they are allowed to play and tinker — STEM Lab takes that concept and applies it to science! This class is perfect for the curious and creative student who would like to take the concepts learned in the classroom and explore on their own terms while making fun projects.

Kinetic & potential energy, opposing forces, Newtonian motion, wind power, gears and mechanical energy — you never know what the next week will bring!

Join LEGO STEM and double-up on the fun!
This STEM Lab program was designed to be the perfect compliment to our LEGO STEM program, which runs from 10am - 11:30am on the same days. Concepts introduced in LEGO STEM flow seamlessly into STEM Lab, giving students another way to explore while making fun hands-on projects. Students who join us for both LEGO STEM and STEM Lab will have lunch at Bolts & Bytes between sessions.
