There is just something special about learning woodworking!  

Maybe it’s the combination of engaging the mind in creative problem solving while working with your hands.  Maybe it’s the pride that focus, proper measuring and good craftsmanship brings.  Maybe it’s the thrill of using noisy power tools and shooting wood chips all over the place!!! 

Whatever it is, we firmly believe that learning basic woodworking skills opens up a whole world of making, fixing, creating and crafting that will last a lifetime!

In this class, students will learn how to safely use various hand tools and power tools to cut and shape wood.  In order to make their projects, students investigate useful joining and woodworking techniques.  We provide hearing protection and dust masks, but be aware that this can be a noisy and dusty class!

What the heck is MakerLab?
MakerLab is our new series of short-run classes, each focused on a fun theme or maker skill. It’s like a Bolts & Bytes snack break!

Double Length Sessions = Double the Fun!
Students in our special Double Length Sessions get extra time to explore, play and build! We will have a lunch break during their weekly classes, so please plan on packing a lunch for your student!
