Our first class dedicated to making your own jewelry! This introductory, 6-week class covers some basic techniques and concepts you'll need to make your own custom jewelry pieces. We touch on a variety of methods in this introductory class, including some that will surprise you!

No experience is required — just bring your imagination! This is a fun and easy way to explore your own style and learn some techniques you can take with you to continue creating at home.

This class is perfect for the young maker who wants to learn how to craft their own custom jewelry. We explore some great hands-on techniques and easy-to-use materials so that anyone, at any experience level, can have fun and create!

try new techniques

This introduction to jewelry making class features easy to learn and easy to master jewelry making techniques. We don’t use expensive materials or dangerous methods. Students take their learning and apply it at home to continue creating creative jewelry.

Want to explore the endless possibilities of creating 3D printed jewelry? We spend a session learning how to design in 3D and print student work in their choice of materials. No 3D printing experience is required — just your imagination!

CAN ANYONE JOIN? IS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY?

Absolutely! This class is open to any young maker between the ages of 9 and 16. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to create with your hands.

IS EVERYTHING INCLUDED?

Yep! We provide everything students might need to create their own custom jewelry.

CAN WE USE OUR OWN NECKLACES, BEADS, STONES, ETC.?

Absolutely! You’re more than welcome to bring your own materials to incorporate into your designs. Just keep in mind that this introductory jewelry making class may not cover techniques needed to make the best use of any personal materials. This class does not cover any metal smithing or stone setting for example. However, we’ll make every effort to adapt our techniques to make best use of personal materials.

DO STUDENTS GET TO KEEP THEIR JEWELRY?

Of course! At Bolts & Bytes, we live by the motto - “If you make it, you keep it!”

This class is capped at 10 students and is open to students ages 9 - 16.
